50th Anniversary Celebration 2019
Society Seminar, Bellingham, Washington
Daisy Pattison Wickberg helped found the Whatcom Genealogical Society in 1969. She was the society's first president and served along with Darlene Hamilton, the society's secretary-treasurer.
Daisy was a member of the Chief Whatcom Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and served as president of the Huguenot Society of America.
Throughout the years, society meetings have been held at the Bellingham Public Library, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, the Bellingham Elks Lodge and various other venues in Whatcom county.
Enterprise Cemetery, Ferndale, Washington
The society has contributed many books to the library in Bellingham and has held various educational seminars since its inception.
WGS members have created several databases. The Civil War Veterans database covers that war's veterans buried in Whatcom County. Members have also transcribed many obituaries of Whatcom County residents and placed them online. Click here for more information on WGS databases available for purchase.
