Genealogy Jump Start

The Whatcom Genealogical Society will be celebrating Family History Month in October by hosting a free

"Genealogy Jump Start" event at the central downtown Bellingham Public Library,

210 Central Street,

Bellingham, Washington.

The date and time of the 2024 event is to be determined.

Let researchers from WGS provide one-on-one help with starting your family tree, transitioning from a paper family tree to one on your computer, or help you with a "brick wall" in your research.

We are offering 12 sessions scheduled throughout the day:

10:30 am - 12:00 pm

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

We can help 4 people per session.

In order to help you most effectively, please bring any information that you may have on family names, maiden names, birth dates, places where your ancestors lived, etc. If you have that information on a computer or would like to transition to a tree on your computer, please bring your laptop. Not sure where to start?? We can help with that, too!
